9.3. Carbon Dioxide Capture R&D

DOE/NETL's pre-combustion carbon dioxide (CO₂) control technology portfolio of R&D projects is examining various CO₂ capture technologies, and supports identification of developmental pathways linking advanced fossil fuel conversion and CO₂ capture. The Program's CO₂ capture activity is being conducted in close coordination with that of advanced, higher-efficiency power generation and fossil fuel conversion technologies such as gasification.
