Check out the March 2021 edition of RWFI E-Note Monthly to learn how to engage with NETL and other federal agencies in collaborative development efforts to prepare workers for high-tech jobs in energy-related fields and to meet the growing demand for a diverse and highly skilled workforce.
This latest edition includes information about the Industry-University Cooperative Research Program, which is designed to help industry partners and government agencies develop the next generation of talented researchers who will make important discoveries in science and engineering and conduct high-impact research to meet shared and critical industrial needs in companies of all sizes.

  • The NETL Regional Workforce Initiative Energy 101 Series webinar on April 29, 2021. Discussion will focus on potential economic and workforce development opportunities created through implementation of carbon capture, storage, and utilization technologies, which are advancing to address climate change. Registration information for this free webinar is also provided.
  • A new U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) program that offers funding to help small businesses reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and increase their efficiencies while investing in a clean energy workforce to meet President Biden’s goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. The funding will be distributed through DOE’s Industrial Assessment Centers, which are university-based programs that train students and offer no-cost efficiency improvement recommendations to small- and medium-sized manufacturing facilities.
