The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to seek information from industry members, investors, developers, academia, research laboratories, government agencies, potentially impacted communities, and other stakeholders on various questions regarding produced water and legacy powerplant wastewater, all while considering environmental justice, the ongoing energy transition, and impacts on tribal lands and other communities. Information on concepts, processes, configurations, and systems related to the following comments and questions are requested. While DOE’s preference is that respondents address all numbered items below, responses that address only a subset of the questions would still be helpful and are welcomed.
This is solely a request for information, for planning purposes, only; this RFI is not a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA). DOE is not accepting applications to this RFI, nor will DOE reimburse any of respondents’ costs in preparing a response.
