This two-day meeting is intended to bring together experts from academia, industry, and government to present and discuss ongoing turbine research in the areas of combustion, materials/aerodynamics/heat transfer, and pressure gain combustion/oxy-fuel combustion.  The meeting agenda highlights ongoing university research sponsored by the UTSR program, including poster presentations from graduate student fellows. The workshop features a tour of Purdue University's lab facilities and panel presentations from leaders in the gas turbine industry on key technological challenges for gas turbines.

Laboratory Tour

Zucrow Laboratories at Purdue University was established in 1948 on a 24-acre site adjacent to the Purdue Airport. Zucrow Laboratories features strong research programs in air breathing propulsion, rocket propulsion, turbomachinery, and energetic materials. The new 55,000 square foot High Speed Propulsion Laboratory will be featured on the tour. The High Speed Propulsion Laboratory has five large test cells and a new high pressure air plant capable of supplying 5 lbm/s at 3400 psia with 150,000 lbm of air storage. Two new air heaters capable of heating 15lbm/s of 800 psia air up to 1500°F are also now operational as part of the high pressure air plant. The tour includes these and other facilities for combustion, compressor, and turbine research.

Registration fee will NOT be refunded after Friday, Oct. 16, 2026
