2026 (LEAP) Low Emission Advanced Power Workshop
September 21-23, 2026

About the Conference
The goal of the 2026 LEAP Workshop is to accelerate the development and commercialization of highly flexible, low-emission, high-efficiency power systems of the future by fostering dialogue among leading international researchers in cyber-physical systems, digital twins, digital engineering, advanced intelligent controls, and dynamic systems modeling. The interactions will support a new paradigm of innovation by enabling real-time connectivity between design point analysis and hardware-based simulations. This will be accomplished in working sessions where ideas can be evaluated throughout the meeting. In lieu of traditional presentations, attendees will be encouraged to share their technical expertise through a fully interactive format. Critical research needs will be identified in a road map coordinating international efforts. Attendees will also contribute and author a final assessment summarizing technical challenges and opportunities related to technology development tools, as well as notable outcomes from the various sessions, which will be published in a DOE technical note.
