The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response (CESER) warmly invites you to the 2020 Cybersecurity for Energy Delivery Systems (CEDS) R&D Peer Review. In its shared vision with industry for resilient energy delivery systems that are designed, installed, operated, and maintained to survive a cyber incident while sustaining critical functions, CESER sponsors high-risk/high-reward RD&D projects that serve the public good through advancements in energy systems cybersecurity. CEDS RD&D projects deliver advanced tools and technologies specifically for the energy sector’s operational technology (OT)—the digital systems and networks that manage the physical operations or electricity, oil and gas entities. These specialized systems often require non-traditional and highly tailored cybersecurity approaches, tools, and system designs. The R&D Peer Review is a response to the Office Of Management and Budget (OMB) memo titled “Final Information Quality Bulletin for Peer Review”. OMB, in consultation with the Office of Science and Technology Policy, issued the Bulletin calling for qualified specialists to peer review influential scientific information related to agency regulatory actions before the Federal government disseminates it. 70 FR 2664 (January 14, 2005). The objective of the Bulletin is to assure the quality and credibility of the government's scientific information.

For the safety of our event attendees during the COVID-19 Pandemic, we will be hosting this year’s peer review as a virtual event. Though this meeting will not be held in person, we strive to maintain the same atmosphere that allows free flow of thought and ideas as in previous peer reviews.

To allow all members to join from different time zones, the peer review will be held October 6-7 from 10:30AM (ET) to 5:30PM(ET). Please register here to receive your unique login to attend this event. Below are important dates for testing your connection via WebEx and system requirements.

There will be two days in which we will conduct a live test of the WebEx system. After you are registered you will receive an invitation to join these live tests.
