About Guy F. Caruso: Mr. Caruso is a senior adviser in the Energy and National Security Program at the Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) and was the 2018 USAEE President. Prior to joining CSIS, he served as administrator of the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) from July 2002 to September 2008. EIA is the statistical agency within the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) that provides independent data, forecasts, and analyses regarding energy. Before leading EIA, Caruso had acquired over 40 years of energy experience, with particular emphasis on topics relating to energy markets, policy, and security. He first joined DOE as a senior energy economist in the Office of International Affairs and soon became director of the Office of Market Analysis. He has also held a variety of other senior leadership positions at DOE.

About USAEE and the Three Rivers Chapter: USAEE was founded in 1994 to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, experiences, and issues among professionals interested in energy economics. USAEE is the largest affiliate of the International Association for Energy Economics, which is worldwide in scope, as are its members, who come from diverse backgrounds—corporate, academic, scientific, and government. USAEE is not a lobbying organization or an advocacy group and focuses on advancing the understanding and application of economics across all facets of energy development and use while remaining policy neutral.

The Three Rivers Chapter of USAEE is committed to expanding the reach of energy information in both the private and public sectors in Pennsylvania and surrounding areas. To learn more and become a member, please visit this link: https://www.usaee.org/chapters/3rivers.aspx
