This position is located in the Research & Innovation Center (RIC), Strategic Systems Analysis and Engineering (SSAE) Directorate, Energy Systems Analysis Team (ESAT), at the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL).  For this position the incumbent will conceive, plan, apply, document, and interpret sound process engineering principles, energy sector knowledge and analytical leadership to the area of energy related life cycle analysis (LCA). The incumbent will utilize principles of Life Cycle Assessment, Life Cycle Cost Analysis, Circularity Modeling, Social Life Cycle Analysis, and various other methods to evaluate the environmental, economic, and social attributes of energy systems ranging from the extraction of raw materials from the ground to the use of the energy carrier to perform work. Results will be used to inform research at NETL and evaluate energy options from a National perspective.
