Information Technology Specialist (DATAMGT/INFOSEC), GS-2210-13/14 (FPL 14), Laboratory Operations Center, Information Technology, Enterprise Management & Solutions Engineering

This position is in the Enterprise Management & Solutions Engineering Team, Information Technology, Laboratory Operations Center (LOC).  The successful leader 

  • Analyzes and evaluates NETL lines of business, capabilities and processes to model, architect and implement a framework in alignment with NETL’s IT Strategic Plan, Business Systems Roadmap, and in support of effective data management and decision support solutions for the Laboratory to include data collection, curation, transformation, distribution, storage, quality standards and practices.
  • Develops mastery understanding of the data needs of the organization; work with business units to design a Data Architecture, addressing mission-oriented, strategic and operational information needs, identifying tools and methods to access and secure data and information.  
  • Reviews and interprets Federal and Department policies, Security and Privacy mandates, and associated Data guidelines for impact to NETL operations and reporting. The objective of the analysis it to implement a secure, holistic data architecture that enables decision making and discovery of new areas of consideration for business leaders. 
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to analyze, evaluate and advise on data processing requirements, policies, procedures, information systems, reporting, and planning.  Assignments have Laboratory and Agency-wide impact.  Customers span the breadth of the NETL organization and include DOE Headquarters elements.
