Earth Day

Show Some Love for the Planet by Entering NETL’s 2018 Earth Day Poster Contest!

Help NETL spread the word about Earth Day, observed on April 22, 2018, with our annual Earth Day Poster Contest. This special planet-centric day emphasizes the importance of recycling, conserving energy, and improving air quality. The theme for this year’s Earth Day is “There is no Planet B.”

Students in Kindergarten through fifth grade at schools near NETL’s sites in Albany, Ore.; Morgantown, W.Va.; and Pittsburgh, Pa., are invited to design posters featuring their favorite ways to protect Earth’s precious natural resources. All entries must be submitted to NETL and received by Monday, April 2, 2018, for judging. First-, second- and third-place entries, as well as honorable mentions, will be displayed at U.S. Department of Energy headquarters in Washington, D.C., and all NETL sites through May 11, 2018. All participants will receive a certificate, and winners’ names and posters will be posted online at NETL’s website, in the Education section.
