Yeager Airport Hydrogen Vehicle Test Project

The primary objective of this project is to further develop the research efforts previously initiated with the construction and operation of the Hydrogen Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) facility located at the Yeager Airport in Charleston, WV. The facility generates, stores, and dispenses hydrogen for use in vehicles and equipment that have been converted or designed to operate on hydrogen as their fuel source. Project objectives include the procurement of a various types of hydrogen-fueled vehicles, the development and execution of educational and outreach activities, testing and evaluation of the use of hydrogen vehicles, and the management of the data collected from vehicle testing.
